Walden D640T Acoustic Electric

Description

This guitar has a solid Sitka spruce top and a beautiful solid mahogany book-matched back. The neck is mahogany, and the bridge is rosewood. Bone nut and saddle and some really beautiful high-quality gold tuning machines. The neck is special – built with 2-rails of Carbon Fiber reinforcing the neck. The company says the added stiffness and stability provided numerous benefits to tone and strength. This is a very nice guitar!
Walden was born in 1996 by Jonathan Lee in California who trained in the Charles Fox Ergo shop. If you’ve never checked out one of Fox’s guitars, do so. They are amazing. Suffice it to say that Lee has a great pedigree. He ran the company until 2014, then closed the doors and went to work for Breedlove. Just recently he left Breedlove and reactivated Walden.
This guitar has some very light scratches and one hairline finish crack on the lower left bout, but too small to show in a photo. The bridge has been re-glued and is rock solid and the pickguard has been replaced. The electronics are high-quality brand Double hybrid mic/piezo system. The action is perfect.
