    Comes complete with:

    (1) 1 1/2"-20 socket head cap screw
    Mount the cutter body to your shell mill / face mill holder.
    Cutter body fits shell mill arbor with
    1” boss &
    3/8" key.

    Can be used to cut a wide variety of materials from aluminum and plastics to tool steel.
    Uses TNMG 432 series un-coated inserts for milling cast iron, aluminum and plastic and TNMG 432 tin coated inserts for steel and tool steels.
    A sharp (small) radius and a chip breaker are required for inserts used with our fly cutters.
    Best for fine finishing of  surfaces of up to 10.5" across with cut depths of up to .030"  in steel and .080" in aluminum and plastics. Can also be used to rough work pieces and remove scale, when a large surface area needs to be covered.
    Excellent for weldments and flimsy work pieces. Also works great for facing cylinder heads.
    In many cases this tool will eliminate the need for surface or Blanchard grinding, and is great for 1 pass per side squaring of work pieces.
    The bar is adjustable and reversible and can be used to cut inside of clevises and the underside of overhanging work pieces. If bar is reversed, the spindle must be run in reverse (counter clockwise)
    Can be used for finish boring large diameter holes.
    All of our Suburban Tool fly cutter products including the bars and cutter bodies are plated with clear zinc for corrosion resistance and are cryogenically treated (prior to manufacturing) for stability and to reduce vibration.
