In double-checking the aesthetics of the guitar just now, I picked up on a very small blemish on the top, on the lower bout that I had missed. It is there, but not pronounced. It's not of any great import, but like I say, it's there and thus noted for your assessment. I know that I did NOT do it. And I have no reason to believe that the dealer I purchased it from did it. How it got there, and how it got missed is beyond me. Seagull (Godin) is usually very much on top of any QC issues. So, it remains a mystery at this point. am immediately turning right around and selling it due to additional emergency household expenses. It’s brand new. Original cost 9 plus sales tax, (01.20) Sacrificing for 0 with gig bag. All set up, and restrung with new strings by the dealer before purchase.

Flame Maple back & sides, a Select Pressure Tested solid spruce top, Custom Polished. The Seagull Performer CW Folk Flame Maple QIT, as with all Performer models, features beautiful High-Gloss finish, and onboard electronics with built-in tuner. The Folk model provides an excellent mid-range response due to its smaller and narrower body size which is ideal for finger-style players. The Quantum IT electronics on the Seagull Performer series guitars include a built-in tuner and are a standard feature on these models. This combined with a cutaway and Seagull embroidered gig-bag makes for a great package for the gigging musician.
The Seagull Performer Cutaway Folk QI acoustic-electric guitar features a 3-layer laminated flamed maple body and a solid spruce top for a superb blend of rich tones and lush visuals. The guitar also has an integrated set neck joint and, Indian rosewood fretboard and bridge, and a Quantum I pickup for a great plugged-in experience. The Quantum I Saddle Transducer Pickup includes rotary volume, bass, and treble controls, with 200 hours typical battery life. Compound Curve Top Design- The guitar top is the part of the instrument that most affects the sound. It is also the most delicate part of any high-quality acoustic guitar. The grade and thickness of the wood used (solid spruce), as well as the bracing structure, have a huge impact on the instrument's sound. The idea of applying an arch or a curve to the top is appealing because the added strength of an arched top should allow for the use of a thinner and more lightly braced top.

This guitar plays beautifully and sounds great. Aesthetics are great.
