    Description

    This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing.   This sample features Charles H. Salisbury patent dated May 23, 1876.     This wire is called "Salisbury's Loop & Twist Two Point - Mexican Style Two Point" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 481-B).  This wire features two twisted together line wires.   This wire has a two point barb made from a round wire.   Barb is bent into a staple shape, and placed over one of the two lines.  Barbing wires are then wrapped around both lines. Wire sample is 18" in length and has three barbs.   Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered.  There are no bent, broken or missing barbs.
