Description

Nick Eggenhofer (1897-1985) born in southern Bavaria, Germany. After attending Buffalo Bill Cody Wild West Show, he fell in love with the American West. Eggenhofer spent many years as an illustrator in New York City. This painting illustrates a cowboy and a native American capturing and about to dispatch a grizzly bear. Oil on board measures 15” x 11”. Frame 21”x 17”. Excellent condition.
