NCL 150 Light Source Illuminator 32108 Used with light guide.
High and low both work, but you sortof need to fiddle with the switch to get low to work, so the switch could use replacement. (I.e you have to slowly rock the switch towards low, and once it lights you can keep it on low)
I opened it and don't see any reason why low doesn't work, so it is likely just a faulty switch.
Intensity is controlled by metal disc that blocks additional light, unlike other models that control intensity via voltage/current control. Instead the High/low probably affects voltage or current to the lamp, which is probably why it has a hard time lighting.
I got it at an auction to use for working with my soldering station after my other one died but the light guides are not interchangeable and this one didn't come with nice ones.
No guarantees on the lamp working for any particular length of time.
Of note, there is a giant inductor in there.
