Lovely Art Deco CUBEB, fully jointed composition replica smoker boudoir bed doll

What a lovely and very hard to find, 24" long, replica, jointed composition,
ART DECO style, CUBEB
boudoir or bed doll.
Originally produced between
1925-1929
as an advertising item for the "
Cubeb" tobacco cigarette firm
during the "roaring twenties" era when film stars often collected them or carried them as accessories these dolls greatly resemble the felt,
"Fadette" smoker doll by Lenci
of Turin, Italy during that era of women's emancipation. This REPLICA doll is similar to an artist mannequin as she has moving pin-joints at shoulders, hips, knees and elbows with a swivel socket head, thick floss, blonde wig in circular braids and lovely closed mouth, (original dolls had a round open mouth for holding her cigarette~today we do not advocate smoking :) green painted eyes, eye shadow, molded eyelids, cheek blush, lovely complexion, and high heel-shaped slender feet with painted black high heel shoes. She wears her original and very becoming, two-piece orange and black felt, double-breasted, trimmed pants outfit which is in mint perfect condition along with her original, matching orange felt tam (hat) with ribbon trim and black felt necklace. She will make a great addition to any vintage or antique doll collection. All her joints work properly and s

no repairs or repaint and she has no odors as she is from a
smoke free home, of course!
