large antique 1800's handmade pierced thick brass bronze India betel nut box

Description

Up for sale is wonderful antique 19th century handmade Indian betel nut heart shaped box.
it's forged out of very thick brass, is a heavy box, and has acquired a lovely patina from age.
the footed box is done with a pierced design and is hinged on the backside along with a carrying bail mounted.
it is beautifully engraved with lovely design and is embellished with a coral stone on the face of the heart.
in great condition and measures 8 3/4 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide by 5 inches tall.
