Part of the 2019 Ibanez collection of signature models, the Mario Camarena guitar is finished in Lavender Metallic Matte. Ibanez with Mario Camarena, one half of the dynamic guitar duo of CHON, for many years and have worked closely with him to develop a new signature model with him, the MAR10. The guitar is highly inspired by the Ibanez AZ model, and it also features some of Mario’s personal touches to make it perfect for his versatile playing style. A shallow body back contour and a big forearm contour make the guitar body fit the player naturally, thus increasing playing comfort. The AZ body has a deep waist and different radii on each body edge curve, making it easier to play in both standing or sitting positions. The AZ Roasted Maple neck has Heat-treatment and increases the wood‘s stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes. The Roasted Maple fretboard w/Sharktooth inlay also has Heat-treatment. It provides a well-balanced attack and tone with rich sustain. In order to achieve ultimate neck grip comfort, the fretboard edge is finished with a smooth curve. The Super All Access Neck Joint offers superior playability with its 8mm concave curve from the body top to the spherical surface of the joint area. By maximizing the joint area between the body and the neck, sustain and resonance are increased as well. The Seymour Duncan® Hyperion™ Pickups feature a moderate output through Alnico-5 magnets to keep the clarity of the fundamental tone when using a distortion sound, and to deliver a clear pick attack. From treble to bass, the overall tonal balance is evenly adjusted, and works well with various effect pedals. The dyna-MIX 9 switching system w/Alter switch offers nine sound variations, and can easily switch between humbucker and single coil modes with just the mini switch. One mode is even able to simulate a humbucker sound from the combination of the 2 single coil pickups. Ibanez T1502 synchronized bridge w/Steel saddles (made by Gotoh®) features steel saddles and a die-cast zinc tremolo block for a quick response and improved articulation. The 10.5mm string spacing allows for easy picking across strings. Its snap-in construction makes it easy to load a tremolo arm. It also has a Graphtech TUSQ XL nut and Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads.

In the past eight years, CHON have gone from playing local shows in their hometown of San Diego to a spot on the Billboard 200 and tours with Animals As Leaders and Circa Survive. The easiest category to put CHON in would be "instrumental," but that doesn't do the band justice. On their debut full-length Grow, CHON incorporate prog rock and jazz with lightning quick picking, staccato drumming and buoyant melodies, creating a sound that's fresh, exciting and wholly their own. (They even add vocals to a couple songs, "Can't Wait" and "Echo.") There are intricacies to the songs on Grow, but the band's approach to writing music is simple and organic. "We have fun writing this kind of music," says guitarist Mario Camarena. "We don't take it too seriously; it's just music we naturally write. I hope people who enjoy our stuff have fun listening to it."
This guitar plays and sounds great I set it up myself, it has a nice low action.

My Factory 2nd guitars and basses are a tremendous value. These guitars are often sold at hundreds of dollars less than their 'new' counterparts. Factory 2nd guitars are deemed as such directly from the manufacturer and have never been previously sold in retail or distributed to a music store. They are marked as a 2nd by the manufacturer when they fail to pass final inspection. They usually have a minor cosmetic finishing flaw that prevents them from being sold as new instruments.
These instruments do not have major flaws (UNLESS STATED).   These blemishes do not affect the playability of the instruments at all.
Apart from the defect listed they are perfect, all the electronics, pickups, tuners, neck and frets etc. are good.
I buy my guitars and basses directly from the manufacturer.
There is no manufactures warranty and sometimes it is difficult to identify why some of these guitars were marked as seconds.
Each instrument gets set up and checked by me before it is released for sale. Some of the models are discontinued and have no issues at all. Instruments are stamped with an S on the back of the headstock.
