Cole Parmer 41720-30 High Intensity Fiber Optic Illuminator + Olympus  Ring Light + for B&L StereoZoom 1 thru 5 (StereoZoom 7 requires adapter, listed separately).
This system has been configured by TechTulz for optimal optical matching of the Cole Parmer 41720-30 light source to the Olympus fiber optic ring light. This results in light output about 2 times the OEM configuration when used a fiber optic ring light. Twice the light of a new similar system at less than half the cost. This system to provides the very high light output required for critical inspection with high magnification stereo microscopes, compound microscopes, photomicrography, or macro photography. Excellent color rendition, not the off-color light typical of LED illuminators.
The fiber optic is 28 inches long.
This illuminator has been cleaned inside and out, inspected, and tested.

At typical working distance for B&L StereoZoom 1,2,3,4,5  >9,300 foot candles (100,000 lux)
Includes: light source with a NEW lamp (installed), Olympus fiber optic ring light, adapter for mounting to Bausch & Lomb StereoZoom 1,2,3,4, and 5 microscopes, and a detachable IEC cord. Note: to use this system with a StereoZoom 7 microscope, an adapter is required to adapt the B&L thread to the spring clip mount on the StereoZoom 7. Adapter is listed separately. At the typical working distance for B&L StereoZoom 7  >13,650 foot candles (146,000 lux)

Please note: lamp life depends on the output setting and the line voltage at your facility. For the tungsten halogen lamp in this unit, reducing the output setting to about 90% increases the anticipated life time by about 400%. Setting the dial to the 75 to 80% point will increase lamp life ~10 times. Performance of the light source in this item is guaranteed, lamp life is not.
