    Description

    This is a lovely Hammersley mauve pink and gold teacup and saucer set.  It is a beautiful deep pink with gold overlay and has a center with a floral bouquet in a vase or basket.  The bouquet is on the saucer and repeated inside the teacup.  The saucer is lightly scalloped and ribbed.  The pedestal cup measures 3-1/4" top diameter X 2-7/8" tall.  The saucer measures 5-1/2" diameter.  The gold overlay is very similar to cup/saucer sets decorated by F. Howard who was the master painter at Hammersley in the 1930's.  I believe the "floral bouquet in vase" decoration makes this a rare cup and saucer set.  The set is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or loss to the gold overlay.  Any questions, please email.  Thanks!
