DODGE & WASHBURN'S FOUR POINT ALL ALUMINUM BARB & LINES - ANTIQUE BARBED WIRE

This listing is for an authentic vintage sample of  barbed wire fencing.   This wire features a Thomas H. Dodge & Charles G. Washburn patent, dated January 24, 1882. This wire is called "Dodge & Washburn's Four Point  All Aluminum Barb and Aluminun Lines"  by collectors.  (ref. Hagemeier  556-B).   This wire features two twisted together line wires.   Wires and barbs are made from aluminum.    The barbs are four pointed made by twisting two barbing wires together around one line wire.  Wire sample is at least 18"  in length.  Wire shows light age and use wear with no pitting.   There are four barbs,  well spaced, and cut is well centered. There are no no bent, broken or missing points.   Wire is in very good used condition.
To facilitate multiple listings, the photographs may not show the exact wire sample shipped.  The photographs are, however, very representative of all of the wire samples in this listing, as regards:  number of barbs, length of cut, barb spacing, centering of cut, weathering, and overall conditoin.
This sample of antique barbed wire is absolutely old and authentic and sells with no reserve.  Shipping will be .50, within the United States.   We have listed many other samples of antique fencing and barbed wire, and will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping.   Additional wire purchases, paid on the same invoice, ship for fifty cents each.
