    Description

This is a used sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This sample features an Alexander C. Decker patent dated June 3, 1884. This wire is called "Decker's Two Point Spread on Parallel Lines" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 286-B). This wire features two round line wires running parallel to each other. Barbs are two pointed, and made by wrapping a round barbing wire seperately around each line wire. Lines are "spread" apart by the barbs. This sample is 18-1/2" in length and has five barbs,. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Wire shows age wear, with moderate pitting. There are no bent, broken or repaired barbs. Wire is in good used condition. There are no off odors. I have listed other wires, both as auction and fixed price listings. We will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping, when paid on the same invoice ... using the buy it now option. First wire ships for .50; additional wires are fifty cents each extra. Twelve or more wire ship for free.
