CONCERTINA WW-II US MILITARY WIRE with STEEL PLATE SPLICE - ANTIQUE BARBED WIRE

This is a used sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This sample features an unknown patentee and maker.. This wire is called "Concertina WW-II US Military Wire" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 6-E). This wire features a single high tensile round line wire. Line wire is kinked at barbing location. Barbs are four pointed made by wrapping the two barbing wires together through the kink in the line. This sample also has a factory splice made from a steel plate. Steel plate has four holes, each line is laced through two of the holes, and then bent over opposite line wire. This sample is 18" in length and has six arbs,. One barb shows some slippage. Splicing plate is well centered in sample. Wire shows age wear, with moderate pitting, and some bending of barbs. There are no broken or repaired barbs. Wire is in overall in good used condition. There are no off odors. I have listed other wires, both as auction and fixed price listings.
