Breedlove Organic Wildwood Concertina Satin CE Acoustic Electric Guitar DEMOBreedlove Organic Wildwood Concertina Satin CE Acoustic Electric Guitar DEMO
The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
Breedlove's new Organic Collection is the result of a three-year journey to produce sustainably-sourced, all-solid-wood acoustic electric guitars at revolutionary prices.
Breedlove has always been a pioneer in minimizing the environmental impact in order to craft their guitars, and this new series is a further testament to that effort. They have made available the types of wood used as well as the country where the tree grew. They also use no clear-cut wood - rather they either salvage dead trees or individually harvest them to minimize the impact on the forest.
The Organic Series features exacting top and back graduations informed by Breedlove’s Sound Optimization research; a thin UV finish; Natural Sound electronics with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls; easy-to-maintain pinless bridges; and classic Breedlove playability.
The Breedlove Organic Wildwood Series is sustainably sourced with FSC-certified African Mahogany from the Congo River Basin, the world’s second largest rainforest. Curiously, it provides the classic sound of Americana, with all-Mahogany guitars known for warm midrange tones that perfectly support a voice. Favored by folkies, roots rockers and songwriters, Mahogany instruments are versatile, with a bold timbre, a crisp attack and strong string-to-string definition. The Wildwood Concertina Satin CE - featuring a soft cutaway - sounds great strummed or picked, and, accented by binding, has a simple, straight-grained look as rich as its tone.
The Breedlove Organic Wildwood Series offers the world’s highest-value, superior-sounding acoustic electric guitars at astoundingly affordable prices. This guitar’s 16” solid African Mahogany top and solid African Mahogany back and sides ring, with excellent note separation and a strong midrange presence, and the satin finish provides beauty and protection.
Songwriters from Bob Dylan to Jeff Tweedy have made their point with small body all Mahogany guitars. Instruments made from a single species have a unique voice, and Breedlove’s sustainably-sourced African Mahogany speaks with a dry, warm authority that fairly screams Americana, and supports your singing without overpowering it.
The soft cutaway, easy-bending, short scale feel and Natural Sound electronics of the Wildwood Concertina Satin CE make it a mean little lead machine, too, with the ability to sit in a mix, or cut right through it. A simple, durable satin finish throughout puts an elegant guitar in your hands at the right price.
The percentage of new players that stick with guitar past the first year is actually pretty slim. With this Wildwood Concertina Satin CE, Breedlove set out to change that equation. Offered at a remarkable price, this instrument puts the magic of superior all-solid-wood sound into the hands of guitarists of any level.
"We're making tomorrow's guitars today," beams Tom Bedell, whose whole earth philosophy and passion for high quality sound is the driving force behind The Organic Collection, designed in Bend, Oregon, and featuring individually-harvested FSC-certified exotic tonewoods like European spruce—torrefied at the source in the Swiss Alps. Native Oregon myrtlewood is carefully salvaged and culled from the Pacific coast. No synthetic materials are used, and half the glue of traditional laminates means a lighter, more responsive instrument with dynamic range, tone and sustain rivaling other builder’s high end models.
This guitar came from Breedlove as a slight flaw, which means slight cosmetic flaw or an overstock item. We have inspected this guitar and although we did not find any major flaws, we have taken detailed photos, please take a moment to look through them before purchasing.
