    Description

    This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing.   This sample features a Frank W. Brainard patent, dated March 24, 1885. This wire is called "Brainard's Double Loop Two Point Hanging Barb" by coll
    ectors. (ref Hagemeier No.253-B). This wire features two twisted together round line wires.   Barbs are two pointed made from a single round barbing wire.  Barbing wire is wrapped in two open loops around one of the line wires.  Sample is 18" in length and has two barbs.  Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Sample shows light to moderate pitting.   Barbs show light bending, but there are no broken or missing points.
