    Description

    This is a vintage antique sample of wire fencing.   This sample features an unknown patentee and maker.     T
    his wire is called "Barbless Twisted Four Strand Horse Pen Finish Wire - Black (or rusty)" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier - no listing found). This is a barbless wire made from four strands of round wire.  Each of two pairs of wires are twisted together;  and then these twisted pairs are twisted together to resemble a four strand braid.
    Wire sample shows light age wear.  Sample is 18" in length.   Sample has no bends, breaks, welds, or repairs.
