For sale is this incredible authentic shipwreck artifact! This beautiful piece of fine Asian pottery was recovered from the Hoi An Hoard (the Hoi An shipwreck). The Hoi An wreck lies 22 miles of of the coast of Vietnam in the South China Sea. It was discovered by fisherman in the 1990’s, and slowly was salvaged. With water depths of 230 feet, it took years to recover the precious artifacts in it. The ship was carrying a large load of Vietnamese Ceramics from the early to mid 1400’s that were made in the kind of the Red River Delta. This piece was recovered by a team of archeologists the documented and processed the wreck. It is simplistic in design, with a white clay used as the medium, and blue dye used for the design. It was sold by the Vietnamese government at Butterfield’s Auction House in San Francisco, CA. This is an incredible authentic medieval aged shipwreck artifact. It comes with the original stickers from the auction on the bottom of it, containing a catalogue number. It is guaranteed authentic, and would make the perfect addition to any collection!
