    Description

    This listing is for an authentic vintage sample of an antique wire fence stay.  This stay features an unknown patentee and maker.   This stay is called "Armed Insert Vertical Stay Rod" by collectors.  (ref. Sowles No. 930).  This stay is repurposed from concrete rebar.     This stay features a 1/4" diameter corrugated round rod, with four spot welded arms.   Photos include photo from Sowles book.   Wire sample is at least 18" in length.    It shows age and use wear with very light pitting.  There are no breaks or repairs.  Stay sample is in very good used condition.
    This sample of antique barbed wire is absolutely old and authentic and sells with no reserve.  Shipping will be .50, within the United States.   We have listed many other samples of antique fencing and barbed wire, and will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping.   Additional wire purchases, paid on the same invoice, ship for fifty cents each.
