    Antique Conestoga Covered Wagon Axle Grease Box.The body is a single piece of carved wood, with a peg lid. All hardware is hand wrought.Dates to early to mid 19th Century. The box held grease for squeaky wagon wheels.Size: About 8" tall to the top of the handle x 8,25" ( the top from one side to another) x 3,5".
    The lid is cleaned or replaced in my opinion.
