    Description

    This is from the 19th century Qing dynasty, and these amulets depicted each of the eight immortals. They were usually sewn onto the hats of young boys on special days of the year for good fortune, status and protection against demons. Known as Tiger Hats, they had silk tiger ears on top with silver charms sewn onto the hat.
    Repoussé figure made of silver metal, perhaps modelled after a Chinese deity. Hollow cone shape with small holes on bottom and sides for sewing to hat.
