ANTIQUE MRS. L.H. BENNETT FINE MILLINERY GOODS MAIN ST. OPPOSITE THE HOWARD HOUSE IN ELKTON, MARYLAND ADVERTISING HAND FAN
This is an antique advertising hand fan that probably dates to the early 1900's. Hand fan has a thick painted black wooden handle with a paper top that is sewn on the frame on the sides. Front side has a beautiful picture of a cottage house in the country by the water. The backside advertises for "Mrs. L.H. Bennett Fine Millinery Goods Notions, Jewelry, Muslin Underwear F.C. Corsets Infants' Wear Main St. Opp. The Howard House Phone 238 Elkton, MD". Fan was made by the Hayes Lithograph Company out of Buffalo, NY.  Fan has some age wear from use and some bends but overall is in pretty good condition for its age. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures 13 and 1/2" long including the handle by about 8.5" wide at widest middle portion. Wonderful old Mrs. LH Bennett Fine Millinery Goods advertising hand fan would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
