You are bidding/buying an Antique 1950s - 1960s Handcrafted Indonesian Puppet Wayang Golek Carved Wood – Jakarta. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Indonesian Wayang Golek wood puppet is hand carved and hand painted. He has removable balance stick and his head comes off. His arms need to be reattached but all the pieces are there. Looks like they were originally attached with string. The puppet has a blue face, stands approximately 26” tall and is characterized as one of the Wayang Golek “Strong Characters,” which usually have faces of deep blue, pink or other dark colors, and large, bulging eyes. When their heads are bowed it denotes that they are modest. If the head is not bowed, it is considered boastful.
