Antique 1850’s George Wharton Cowhide Stagecoach Trunk California Gold Rush.
You are looking at an original trunk that was from a California Gold Rush family. It belonged to George Wharton. I purchased this trunk from a collector in Georgetown California in the 1990’s and have had it since.it has a newspaper interior dated from 1832. It needs to be restored and researched. It measures 32 inches long 16 inches wide and 14 inches tall. It is held together with square nails and cowhide covering! Super cool!
